Cru Chalets Guest Book
We love sharing our beautiful chalets with guests from all over the world. We thank the guests who have also taken the time to leave personal messages and reviews on their stay in either Chalet Grand Cru or Chalet Marithé.
Lodge: With six en-suite bedrooms and an al-fresco hot tub, Chalet Marithé is perfect for groups of friends.
A short walk from Chamonix’s bars and restaurants, the chalet itself is secluded, so no need to worry about keeping the noise down.
Sun worshipers should make for the first-floor balcony to soak up some rays while admiring the peaks and glaciers.
Resort: With four different ski areas, Chamonix has no shortage of slopes. Skiers up for a challenge can book a glacier guide and take on the Vallée Blanche.
Best for: Extended families or groups of friends.

I spent a wonderful week in April 2011 at Chalet Grand Cru with my family and friends. The group consisted of six adults one 10 year old, an eight year old and 4 year old twins. We could not fault the accommodation at any level. Plenty of bathrooms made the mornings easy and the option of two sitting rooms gave great flexibility for all. Our weather was very warm, so the hot tub, deck and outside furniture meant the afternoons were relaxing and more like a summer holiday than a winter one. The gas BBQ was also fired up a couple of evenings for eating outside. The attention to the small things like bathrobes for all and the washing machine and tumble dryer makes the chalet stand out.
The chalet is perfectly situated very close to the town centre. The free bus runs from the end of the lane (Le Mulet) every 10 minutes and this links well with the main bus system that services all the lift stations. It made it easy to stop in town on the way back from the slopes for a drink or an ice cream. Two supermarkets within a minute’s walk as well as the bakery close by made the self catering in the well equipped kitchen a breeze.
One of the best holidays I have had in all my years of skiing and it had nothing to do with the snow. I would definitely recommend the chalet to anyone.
Chalet Grand Cru, April 2011
I would thoroughly recommend people of all ages to stay at Chalet Grand Cru. We have now stayed there twice during the winter over the last 3 years and had a brilliant time. Both times we went with a group of friends which was a mix of couples and singles all of whom were accommodated in rooms with single or double beds which leads me on to the beds…the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on in any ski resorts across Europe! The facilities in the chalet were great from the many bathrooms through to the hot tub on the terrace with its stunning views of the mountains.
The location of the chalet is so convenient for getting to the shops, bars and restaurants as well as to the buses for the ski lifts in the morning.
Thank you for providing a comfortable base for our skiing holidays and we hope to come back to try the summer season soon.

Chalet Grand Cru, Winter 2010/2012
Great location, value for money and hot tub!. We had a great time in this chalet as 10 friends on a ski holiday. The chalet was well equipped so cooking was pretty straight forward. The dining area was also nice to all sit down and recall our days adventures (and mishaps!). The outdoor area had a good sized hot tub which was a great place to relax after a busy day skiing. The location was also good, with the train a minute walk away and the town on the doorstep. Rooms were well furnished and good sized comfy beds.
Chalet Grand Cru, March 2011
Chalet was great just what we needed, just away from the main street for the oldies and right in town for the young ones full of spunk!
Chalet Grand Cru, February 2013
We were 12 colleagues and filled all rooms to max - but still the chalet felt spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the location, panoramic views, hottub, kitchen, leather sofas, fireplace and more fully. Comfortable beds and fresh feel everywhere. Fantastic service from all staff of Cru Chalets Chamonix, Nomadic Ski Team and Mountain Dropoffs made this a perfect stay we will always remember!
It was our 4th time in Chamonix and we tried different locations: city center (too noisy), Argentiere (charming but far away from the city facilities), but this place is a unique one. It's only 10 minutes walk from shopping and walking area, few steps away from bus station La Frasse, 5 min from Chamonix tram. And you've got a magnificent view of Mont Blanc while chilling at the balcony. We stayed at chalet marithé when it was non typical 34C in summer (5 days) and it was really nice and fresh downstairs. Rest 2 days it rained almost all day long and we experienced how grate it is to relax in jacuzzi under the rain after sauna and get a warm near the fireplace sipping wine.
This property is certainly five star. It is superbly equipped with stylish decor and fittings throughout. We visited in the summer and as well as enjoying some excellent walks and the clear mountain air also used the bus service to go to and from the local golf club (think it is open six months of the year). We were a group of six but know the property is easily capable of accommodating double this number and would still feel spacious. It is an easy walk into the centre of Chamonix which has a great range of restaurants, bars, supermarkets and shops. The property's sauna, gym and hot-tub were all well used. We had a fabulous five day break in this stunning property which we would highly recommend. We will definitely go back, nothing can beat sat on the balcony with a glass of local wine overlooking the French Mont Blanc!
This is a very impressive chalet . Enjoyed a weekend break in January '13 , having previously stayed in the owners other chalet in Chamonix.( Chalet Grand Cru ) .The location is great as it's an easy walk into Chamonix which was important to us.You will need a car to access the lifts . The chalet has just been rebuilt/refurbished and we were very impressed with the quality .The lounge at first floor is fantastic with a log fire and great views of Mt Blanc as one wall is all window .The bedrooms are all ensuite and very comfortable .They aren't the largest rooms and if you are particularly tall mind your head if you are on the second floor but they worked for us ..We liked the massive ski/boot room and the sauna , jacuzzi and gym ( not that we used the latter after a full day's skiing , too busy enjoying a G&T in the lounge ) . Hayley handled our booking and all our requests with great efficiency .Will definitely return .
Back at Grand Cru for our snd year in a row. Location, Skiing & dining shaped up to be nothing but magical! Our group of 5 had a wonderful time which included heliskiing in Italy, Glacier skiing off the Aiguille du Midi, para gliding from Brevent, sipping the finest Champagne in Verbier and having a ridiculous lunch at Courmayeur. All this was acomplished through the help of our guide Liz Smart asak Smart Mountain Guides. Thank you for another wonderful holiday and look forward to seeing you again!

Chalet Grand Cru Feb 2015
Luckily we arrived amidst a heavy snowstorm so there was plenty of snow. Chalet is in a great location and very well equipped. Some of us braved the hot tub and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Free wifi was well received. Fabulous snow conditions for skiing. The chalet owners were very helpful in organising various things including airport transfers and a wonderful birthday cake. We all had a wonderful time and would love to come again. Chamonix has a great atmosphere at New Year!

Chalet Marithé is a step up from Grand Cru, which is an impressive feat! Well done to the Hunters for creating a magnificent place to spend with our families. Hayley's help on all aspects of our holiday was much appreciated, with Emily our excellent chef, a real master-stroke! We'd love to return; until next time, keep up the good work.

Chalet Marithé August 2015
Every one of the 12 of us were very impressed with the chalet, and some of the regular skiers amongst us even commented that it was by far and away the best chalet they had ever stayed it.
Although the skiing was the main reason for the weekend, the quality of the accommodation is usually how people tend to remember their time away and none of us could fault the facilities within the chalet, so much so that half of us decided to give the skiing a miss on the Sunday and spend the day in the comfort of the chalet. I think that the surprise at such a fantastic property overcame some people and the excitement took over upon arrival.
Both myself and the others would certainly look to use the chalet again and it is a credit to you and your family for all the hard work and effort you have put in to provide such amazing accommodation.
